"VIADEIMILLE (Via Dei Mille) retraces the steps of a Sicilian exceptional history. A history of delicate flowers picked in the early morning, of precious fragrances that were extracted in copper alembics and of their voyage from Sicily to the French maisons de parfum, where talented perfumers would transform them into unique scents. A history which is also a family history that goes more than 50 years back in time, when an artisanal fragrances distillery was settled in Via dei Mille, in the baroque town of Noto, and which is renewed today with the discovery of Sicilian finest raw materials, the encounter with the art of Grasse perfumers, and the design of this first exquisite scent collection which reminds thousands of stories, memories and sensations of a mythical and enchanting Sicily. VIADEIMILLE · SICILIA is first of all the result of a family history, but it is also a story of renaissance, of friendship, of search and discoveries, of regard for deep roots and ideas.The aesthetic universe of VIADEIMILLE reinterprets in a new and original way these copious and unique cultural influences regarding the place where the story of our project has originally started: the baroque town of Noto, today a World Heritage Site together with the late baroque towns of the Val di Noto, in South-Eastern Sicily. Such as our fragrances, the visual language of VIADEIMILLE definitely revamps the tradition. Distant from stereotypes, it is in the details which are often disregarded, in the minor decorative elements such as the embroideries of the ornamental friezes, the elegance of ancient tile patterns, the stone laces, the forms of the wrought-iron balconies that we have been searching our source of inspiration in order to design an evocative but original brand universe. During our creative process, a variety of styles first overlapped, but then dissolved, finally reappearing in the refined form of a contemporary "minimalist baroque." - a note from the brand.
